Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. The most well-known of her roles is Skyler White on her role on the AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 for Outstanding Supporting actress for a Drama Series. Alongside her roles as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward as well, she was a part of The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. The actress fell in love with acting at Preparatory school before moving to Ohio and her family in later in the 1970s. She studied theatre at Northwestern University and spent a time studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey as a Chicago-based theatre actor for a few years. She then moved on to film and television. Anna's first role of note was Arden as she appeared in Down the Shore. She was in 29 episodes. Anna continued to be the guest on a few TV shows and films, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue through the mid 1990's, when she was tapped in a role that she reprised in The Practice as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. In 2008, she was cast in the role of Skyler for the show Breaking Bad. Sully as well as Deadwood are also among the highlights of her professional career. Gunn appeared on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. Gunn was a character in the audio podcast of four parts drama Numbered days, which premiered in 2022. The main storyline of Breaking Good is centered around the relationship between Walter White, his wife Skyler and their strained relationship. The tension in their relationship and the ending of it all mirror the ending of Walter White's story.
